A Hot Story About Loverboy
Read this entry. You'll be lovin' every minute of it.

It’s the middle of the weekend we were all workin’ for, so here’s a Loverboy story. Every rockin’ word is true. I think you’ll be lovin’ every minute of it.
Note: Loverboy is everyone’s favorite 1980s hard rockin’ Canadian party band. For a few years in college, Greg, Rick, and I chose Loverboy as our favorite band to ironically love. Recently, Loverboy has emerged as a recurring conversation subject among my co-workers. But, unlike our workplace lunch table, this is not the venue for a treatise on the value/non-value of ironic pop culture love.
At today’s Whole Lot of LuLu vintage/craft festival in Phoenixville, we stopped at Red Hot Gal’s Boutique, a booth filled with quirky handmade jewelry. I glanced down at a display and there amid all the items, was a round orange metal pin with one word printed on it in yellow: Loverboy.
Sensing my excitement, the RHG Boutique’s owner (I didn’t catch her name in the excitement) gifted me the pin. She had found it in front of her booth earlier and had placed it among her baubles as a joke. You might be tempted to say she was being ironic. You can also say that I’m the new owner of a Loverboy pin.
