A Message to You, Dear Reader

Guide me through my existential blogging crisis.

A Message to You, Dear Reader:

Over the past year, and probably even longer than that, I seem to have been toggling back and forth between making daily posts to The Dichotomy of the Dog and opting to make weekly posts.

Of course, there’s also the times when I have posted anything at all for a while, and the times when I have posted on an irregular basis.

As someone who is reading this post right now, and who very well might be receiving these posts in your email, I am curious to know whether you think receiving daily posts from me (or from anybody with an online journal) is fun and cool or whether you prefer to hear from me just once a week?

I realize that you might say, “Rich, you should do whatever feels best for you! You should write/post for yourself! It’s your blog!” and I do appreciate that response. But I am genuinely curious to know what readers’ preferences are. Are daily emails from me welcome, or do they seem pesty and needy after a while? How about one entry per week the serves as a digest for what would have been daily entries?

Or should I just shut the whole venture down and live the life of a hermit?

Thoughts? Advice?
