Recycle Read Repeat!
Who knew I'd suddenly be fascinated by Bozo the Clown?

Yesterday, Donna and I visited the grand opening of a new used bookstore in Norristown. It’s called Recycle Read Repeat and it was worth the trip. Donna left some books behind and we both brought books home.
Here is my haul from the store:
1. The Man Behind the Nose – Larry “Bozo” Harmon
2. Things Fall Apart – Chinua Achebe
3. Beneath the Underdog – Charles Mingus
4. A Collection of Essays – George Orwell
5. Going to Meet the Man – James Baldwin
6. Native Son – Richard Wright
7. The Teachings of Don juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge – Carlos Castaneda
8. Meditations – Marcus Aurelius
9. The Souls of Black Folk – W.E.B. DuBois
The last three books were bundled under the title “Philosophy of the Times”.
I posted the book haul photo on Facebook and my friend Greg noted that it’s a heavy set of books. That’s why I choose to start with The Man Behind the Nose, which is indeed a memoir by Bozo the Clown. I didn’t see myself buying a book by/about Bozo yesterday, but that’s one of the joys of stepping into a used bookstore. You never know what you’ll find, and you never know what will suddenly seem fascinating to you.
Donna and I enjoyed our visit to Recycle Read Repeat and we’ll be returning.
