Spring Forward! Part 2
Time to open a new notebook, and find other ways to spring forward.

As noted in yesterday’s entry, I have decided to start spring with a new journal notebook. This one is made from the cover of an album called Music from the Dancing Years, a 1961 compilation of swing tunes by the likes of Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Xavier Cugat, and Frank Sinatra, among others.
A graphic on the front cover, juxtaposing a record with a juicy slice of pineapple, accompanies a note proclaiming that Music from the Dancing Years was “A Collector’s Item. Prepared exclusively for Dole Pineapple by RCA Victor.”
Music from the Dancing Years is an album to eat pineapple by, or so the folks at Dole hoped.
In the spirit of spring renewal, I opened this notebook tonight and wrote three pages of notes. Those words might stay unread in the notebook for years to come, or they might wind up being an upcoming entry here. Time will tell that tale.
But not only that – earlier today, I drove over to library and replaced my library card. I even took out a book that I plan to read and report on soon.
Happy Spring to you! If you feel like you’ve been stuck in some kind for Groundhog Day, this just might be the perfect time to look for an off ramp.
