When You Find a Thing and You Realize It's Your Thing...

There’s this Thing I’ve been working on for a while. At first, I was only working on the Thing in my head, but gradually I began moving the bits and pieces from my head to my laptop.

I’ve been thinking about this Thing for months but the roots of the Thing go back years. I even did a small version of the Thing 13 years ago, and it’s formed the basis of the current incarnations of the Thing.

The true roots of the Thing go back decades.

The thing about this Thing is that it’s tying together different threads of my life in ways that I had never thought about before. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a little bit of something else that hadn’t even occurred to me and it’s all coming together.

There’s no need for me to go into further detail right now. The Thing isn’t ready for that kind of revelation. But soon enough, I’ll be less cryptic about the Thing.

This Thing is one of a few interesting Things that I’m working on or thinking about doing. To paraphrase the Isley Brothers, these are my things and they’re what I want to do.

When you get the chance to do a Thing, you ought to do it.
